Casks are similar to Open Head Drums but they are generally rotationally moulded and have a thicker wall section due to this method of manufacture.  Lids are usually internally threaded and are screwed down into the container as opposed to being screwed down on top of the container.

Casks also generally have a different shape and due to being rotationally moulded can be supplied in colours without the need for large quantities to justify purging colourants each time of running the tooling.
