The 20 Litre Fortress Jerry Can is classified as a Heavy Duty Dangerous Goods container due to its high specific gravity rating of 1.8 which has been achieved through improved design and manufacturing techniques.

Advanced features include anti-crumple zones in each base corner in addition to the ones at the top corners which improves overall impact resistance and stackability. To further improve stackability and secure stacking, we have added locating lugs to the top of the jerry can which interlock with corresponding indentations in the base. We have increased the handle area to make the jerry can easier to handle when using industrial gloves usually worn when handling hazardous goods, and this has the follow on effect of better control when pouring. The increased height of the handle also assists in making the stack secure as the handle fits snugly up into the base when stacked. To offer a smoother and controlled pour, we have moved the neck opening closer to the sidewall of the jerry cans to minimise 'glugging' and 'splash back'.

Standard colours are Natural, White, and Black with other colours available on request. We are now able to mould a VISI-Stripe into coloured jerry cans so that the fill level can be seen from the outside of the jerry can. A VISI-Stripe is a natural strip that runs from the base of the container and up through the 3/4' BSP bung area to the base of the handle on the rear sidewall and we offer this as standard with all product made in solid colours.  We place the VISI-Stripe on this side so that when a tap is inserted into the bung area, the end user can visibly see the fill level after decanting product when the Jerry Can is on a shelf, without needing to view the level by opening the cap.

To complete the package, these are supplied fitted with a 58mm Tamper Evident Cap with a 'tear ring' device to make opening the container easier. These caps can be supplied with a wide variety of colours. Black and Red are the standard ex-stock option for the Natural and White Jerry Cans, but other colours such as White, Blue, Green, and Yellow can be fitted at time of moulding on request.

In addition to the standard Tamper Evident Caps we can also offer these with a membrane vent which allows vapours to be purged from within the Jerry Can while in storage without the risk of liquid escaping (see accessories section).

These heavy duty jerry cans come fitted with a 3/4" BSP drainage bung fitted at the bottom of the rear sidewall. We also can provide these containers with the option of having the 3/4" BSP drainage bung completely "blanked off" and bung removed.

NOTE: The 58mm Cap is included in unit pricing and is supplied semi-fitted to Jerry Can.
